This and that

John's Echo by Rox
Good morning from Portland, Oregon. We are looking at gray skies today, temperature 60 degrees. Again, I am here sitting in my living room, laptop on my lap with my cup of coffee. We are going to do yoga with Judy in about an hour so I need to come up with some stuff to write about. So, the first thing that I can think about now to tell you is that there is a new website called iSuck.me, http://isuck.me where payback is a bitch. If someone, say a waiter at a restaurant, gave you terrible service. For a small fee, you can place that person on the list. You can place people, places, groups, just about anything that you think sucks on the iSuck list. Check it out.
The other day I had written about laughter on my blog titled “Where has all the laughter gone?” I had mentioned that there wasn’t much on television that made me laugh hard but last night Rox and I watched Wipeout, and I must say it was pretty funny. If you have never seen it, check it out. It is a group of people going through an obstacle course above a large pool of water for a $50,000 grand prize. I hate to say it but I was rolling at people’s misfortune on these courses, especially the Big Balls.
Just checked our Powerball numbers, did not win the millions this time, next drawing is worth $59 million, not sure if we could live on that. Well, when we do win a big one here is what we are going to do, we will donate to Humane Society, The Arica School, and help our friends. Next, we will buy our new home, renting is beginning to suck, hey, maybe I will put that on the iSuck list. Next, trade in our cars, I would get either a Prius or the new Honda Insight, Rox would probably get that new electric car called Tesla or Honda Element ( I would venture to say that the Tesla would be her first choice). And finally, tht long awaited trip to Bora Bora and stay in one of those huts above the clear blue water. The rest of the money would be invested so we could live on the interest. We can dream, can’t we? Rox reminded me about buying a second home in Bali after watching House Hunters International on HGTV the other night. This guy who worked in Tokyo bought this incredible home there for a getaway spot, it was gorgeous, pool, Buddhas and all.
Next week, Rox, our friend Kathy and I are traveling 3 hours north to Seattle for a two day visit. I have never been to Seattle and look forward to it. We will visit Pike’s Market, the Space Needle and other points of interest. There are two friends from my past that I want to meet up with, they are David and Cindy who I knew back in San Diego, they are brother and sister who had done the Arica work there. It’s been around twenty years or so since I last saw them, can’t wait.
Today I have an acupuncture appointment to control my high blood pressure and indigestion. The acupuncturist was a referral from Pat and AJ named Zheng Gong, a Chinese doctor who is incredible, she has such a soft touch and has helped me with my post stroke symptoms and Rox with her allergies. I love acupuncture so much that when I lived in San Diego, I would go just for tune ups. If you re in pain or have any maladies and you have never had it, trust me, go and try it, you will love what it does for you.
On the work front, I am still in the ranks of the unemployed but I am hopeful that my sales position with Meography, Incorporated will happen. We are excited about this new venture with a start up that is going to knock people’s socks off. The idea of Mike and Judy will come to fruition in the near future. I refuse to go back to what I used to do, it sucked the life out of me for years. Don’t get me wrong, I loved all the people I met and worked with, but the job itself was very stressful. My heart was not into it any longer. This new venture is something I really believe in and that it will help a lot of people. As I said, once it starts, I will tell you all about it, I am sure that you will participate.
Well, ten minutes before Yoga, got to get ready so I will bid you adieu, have a great day, take deep breaths and stop to smell the roses. Peace out!!
P.S. John’s Echocardiogram was the inspiration for Rox’s new art piece above.
